ShrewsWeb listened to the postmatch interviews to get the thoughts of Gary Peters
It was a good performance and I really enjoyed it and at times I thought we were outplaying them in the second half.
In the second half we better side at times and were on the front foot but I had to bring a number of trialists on then.
It was only in the last few minutes that they got a couple of goals, the first one was an unbelievable goal and the way he took it after the cross came in from nowhere was a great goal.
We had a stone cold penalty at the end there where their lad dived full length at the ball, he should have been wearing gloves, but the ref didn't give it.
We aren't bothered about the result as it doesn't matter, the performance and the excitement here were superb. It was a big plus for us as they can play and pass the ball well but we held our own and got some good fitness out of it.
Kelvin has played all the games so far and I needed Colin Murdock and Darren Kempson to play tonight to get a game together, and in the end we had all three in there as we lost Ashy.
Darren Kempson got man of the match, Colin Murdock was solid and we've still got Kelvin to play at centre-half.
Marc Pugh is brilliant, he's a live wire and loves everything that he does and is a player who will be exciting to watch all season.
I'm excited now more than any season I've started as they are a great bunch of lads.
The atmosphere was great tonight and it shows what can happen even thought people are sat down I don't think we will lose the atmosphere and I'm sure we can get 7,000 here on a regular basis.
We had good chances and I thought Symesy should have done better after that bit of magic from Pugh in the first half, all Symesy needed to do was put his head on it but he did a little too much.
The lads are so committed and that was shown just before half-time we had Ashy blocking a ball and then Glynn making a great save.
Neil Ashton has gone to the hospital to have an x-ray on this elbow and hopefully it's nothing serious.
