ShrewsWeb listened to the postmatch interviews to get the thoughts of John McMahon
I'm very pleased with the response of the players, i thought the commitment and attitude was first class.
We went behind but the lads how showed a great spirit, effort and desire to dig in and get a point from the game.
It was a great time to score and we could have got another in the 89-minute I'd have been even more happy.
There was quick thinking from Ben Davies and James Constable for the goal, and we've been doing that in training and we have got drills and routines set-up. What we ask of the players is that is they spot anything then just do it, it's not regimented and it's up for the lads to show bright thinking when they can.
It was very disappointing to concede from a set play, we had a big strong wall but to be fair to Rotherham they hit us with a well worked free-kick.
They are a big strong side who are direct, physical and I thought we'd set-up and try and force them back with our three strikers. To be fair to the lads they adapted quite well to it and Rotherham have been playing their formation all season so we did well against that.
I enjoyed taking team today and you get a vibe and feeling from the lads and there has been a good feeling all week and the response has been positive.
We are now looking forward to the Darlington game and after the game the lads were saying it was a start and let's now get back in and work on the preparation for the Darlington game.
