ShrewsWeb listened to the post match interviews to get the thoughts of John McMahon

I thought that the lads put a good shift in this evening against a well drilled and well organised Darlington side and can see why they've kept the most clean sheets in the league.

We kept a clean sheet as well and it's been a long time since we did that so we have to pleased with that.

I'm also pleased with the commitment and attitude from the players as we didn't sit back, as anyone could see we've gone out there to try and win the game.

We were straight at them from the first whistle and were pushing them back in what were atrocious conditions; we kept going at them and doing the right things.

We went with a 4-4-2 formation and it brought us a clean sheet but to be honest I'm disappointed we didn't manage to score.

We'll take the point tonight and that's two undefeated in a row so hopefully we can continue that roll.

I thought we looked the more likely to score at times, there were a lot of scrambles in their box and that was pleasing as that usually happens in our box.

We kept them quite around our area but they had a couple of decent chances following slips from us but they haven't taken them.
