Rob Bickerton took up his post as Managing Director at Shrewsbury Town on Monday and has spent the first few days settling in at the new stadium.

As in any new job the early days are all about meeting your new work colleagues and getting an idea of how the organisation works.

Rob has also been out on the road with Gary Peters when the pair travelled up to Christie Park to take a look at Saturday's opponents Morecambe.

On Monday Rob published his email address for fans to get in touch with him with their thoughts on the club and this has proved to be a big success: "I've met a number of the members of staff and I am beginning to learn about how the club works.

"On Tuesday I travelled up to watch Morecambe v Darlington with Gary Peters, we got on well and it was good to speak to Gary and see this side of the game.

"From the start I've published my email address and this seems to be popular with over 40 emails being sent through already.

"The emails can be split into two distinctive groups, the issues of the playing side and the issues of the new stadium.

"I'm dead keen to hear people's thoughts on how we are playing and when I speak to Gary I'll pass these views on.

"The other group of opinion is about the new stadium and peoples thoughts and views on our new home. I'm taking these on board and in due course it will help me to understand how people are getting used to the stadium.

"Please keep the emails coming and I can assure you that every email sent to me will be read.

"Tonight I'm off to see the youth team game and anyone travelling to Brentford tonight gets my total respect. If you are going tonight please stop and say hello."
