Season Ticket Prices Announced
Season tickets will go on sale from Monday 28th April and there will be no change to prices for next season. In fact as a result of single match ticket prices increasing, a season ticket is now even better value than before, with just over 7 matches free (if purchased before the 14th June 2008) and 4 free if purchased between 15th June and 14th July 2008.
The full details have been sent to current season ticket holders through the post and they should be receiving them very shortly.
We are also encouraging fans to recycle the wallets, so when you renew please bring this season's book with you.
There will also be a few changes to the matchday arrangements with undesignated seating in certain blocks and family saver tickets in many areas of the stadium as well as the Family Stand.
Speaking to ShrewsWeb this morning Managing Director Rob Bickerton was pleased that season ticket prices had been frozen: "It's good to be able to announce the season ticket prices for 2008/09 and even more pleasing to have been able to freeze the prices.
"The support that the team have received in, what has been a disappointing season results wise, has been superb and it is great to be able to reward our loyal supporters.
"What I would like to encourage is that existing season ticket holders renew as soon as they can as the season ticket now offers even better value this season, and anyone who didn't have a season ticket should look at the savings and think about getting themselves a season ticket his season if at all possible.
"The benefit of season ticket sales to the club is that we have a guaranteed level of income and this allows us to plan the budgets for the squad for next season.
"I recognise that the purchase of a season ticket is a significant lump of money so we have put a finance scheme in place. When a fan uses the finance scheme their payment are spread over the season but the club gets all of the season ticket money up front.
"The best savings are available if supporters purchase their season tickets by June 14th as that gets them 7 free games. The earlier that people get their season tickets then that helps us to get an idea of the budgets for next season and allows us to plan ahead. "
