Town have confirmed their first pre-season game with Premiership West Bromwich Albion coming to the new stadium.

The game will take place on Tuesday 22nd July with a 7:45pm kick-off.

Paul Simpson has also confirmed that he will be taking his side to Stafford Rangers on Saturday 19th July for a 3pm kick-off.

Speaking to ShrewsWeb this morning the Town manager was delighted to have got the first friendlies confirmed: "I'm delighted that Tony Mowbray has agreed to bring his side to the new stadium for one of their first pre-season games.

"It is an excellent fixture after their promotion to the Premiership and will prove a good test for us.

"It's a great game for the fans and with Albion winning promotion should ensure a packed house for the game."
