Town defender Kelvin Langmead answers a selection of your questions.

Q - Do you think your consistency has been good so far this season?

A - I think for the majority of the season my consistency has been quite good. I am aware that I had a rough patch which cost us goals but I did everything I could to make sure that I put that right. I set myself a high standard last year and when I don't meet that standard then I'm not happy with myself or my performances. I'm always striving to get better and better and I'll continue to try and do that.

Q - What it like to be playing in the new stadium, if anything what do you miss about the old ground?

A - Moving to the new ground is a fantastic thing to do, the old ground had a lot of traditions but with any football club you want to move forward. I think the new stadium does that and it's a superb place to play football in. To be honest I don't miss too much about the old ground, the atmosphere was fantastic and when the fans got behind you it was a really enjoyable place to play football. Saying all that the facilities and playing surface weren't the best so it was about time we moved on.

Q - How much individual coaching have you had with regard to learning to play at centre back or have you really just had to learn game by game where to position yourself, when to drop off etc?

A - To be honest it's a little bit of both. The gaffer talks me through a lot of what we do and we get the DVD's of the games so I get to look at what I do and watch my own performances.

I played a couple of games in defence in the reserves just to see what I could be like as cover. I must have done ok as that's where I've played for the last year and a half.

I was thrown in at the deep end a little bit and had to adapt as quickly as possible and cut out my mistakes. I take something from every game be it good or bad, you have to learn from them both.

It is a learning curve for me but I am enjoying it.

Q - What or who encouraged you to become a defender?

A - I suppose it was the gaffer, he was short of defensive cover at the start of the season before last. I think he wanted to see if I could maybe fill in there if he was desperate. I went in and fortunately it went well for me and I'm looking forward to continue learning and developing myself as a player.

Q - Do you miss scoring goals?

A - If you ask any footballer then they will tell you that there is no feeling like scoring a goal. I think that is one of the biggest things I miss playing at the back but I now get different buzzes out of different things. Making an important tackle, a goal saving block or making sure that I am dominate over the opposition striker is something that I enjoy and like to do now.

Q - You've had quite a few different partners so far this season, but who is your preferred partner to play alongside in the centre of defence?? IMO, for what it's worth, I think you look most comfortable and solid with Luke Jones.

A - It's a tough question as all the lads here are excellent players in their own right and no one takes it for granted that they will be in the team. Each of them are good to play with and have their different qualities. It is good to see Luke back playing after the disappointment that he had at the end of last season.

Q - Asda Tomato Ketchup or Sweet Chilli Sauce

A - Sweet chilli Sauce, thanks Groundo.

Q - Kelvin, it's been well documented that a Championship side has been watching you for most of the season. Are you able to blot any speculation about your future out of your mind or are you secretly excited about the proposition of moving onto a higher level?

A - It's not something that I've really taken a lot of notice of to be honest. Of course when you see your name mentioned with big clubs it is quite flattering but as any footballer will tell you it's only paper talk so doesn't really mean a lot. I'm fully focused on what I'm doing here to make myself and the club better. I know I've got a lot of improving to do before I would even consider anything like that.

Q - Does having your Dad as the manager make things difficult?

A - I do get a lot of stick for things like that but as I've been here a long time I do have quite a good relationship with the gaffer. I also knew him during my time at Preston so it is always nice when he says good things about me.

Q - Do you prefer to play as a defender of a striker?

A- To be honest I just want to play. I played upfront against Mansfield but didn't really set the world alight but it was a different challenge for me. I think at the moment my focus is about making myself a better defender, improving in that position and trying to cut out any errors that I have been making.

Q - What do you do most enjoy doing with your spare time after training and on rest days?

A - I like going to the cinema, watching films and I get a lot of enjoyment out of that. Training does take a lot out of you so I tend to spend a lot of time getting my body ready for the next training session.

Q - What other sports apart from football do you like watching or taking part in?

A - I don't really tend to do any other sports; I tend to watch the Premier League teams play and other bits of football.

Q - When you were at Preston did you know anything about Shrewsbury?

A - To be honest no I didn't. I was only a young lad there and I was really desperate to get a contract there so all of my focus was set on that. I went through the Preston youth team being a YT there and then push to get a contract in the first team.

Q - What was your reaction when you realised you were going to play at Wembley

A - I think the first reaction was that you didn't know what to do or say as you were so excited that you didn't know how to express those feelings. It was such a massive, massive occasion for me personally, for my family, for the club and for the fans. It was a feeling of disbelief but something that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Q - How would you rate Barmouth as a holiday destination?

A - I only went there once for a day, it was miserable and I don't think I will ever go back - thanks Groundo.

Q - Who are your footballing heroes?

A - I don't really have any footballing heroes; I like to watch the best players in the world like Ronaldinho and the like as they are entertaining footballers and good to watch.

Q - What was the first gig you saw, who was it and when was it?

A - It was Craig David 'Born to Do it' something like 8 years ago and it was alright.
