New home shirt sponsor announced
STFC has unveiled the Greenhous Group as home shirt sponsor for the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons as part of what is described as a 'significant financial agreement'.
"With the Club progressing on the pitch and moving to a state-of-the-art stadium, agreeing terms with a major business was very important," explained chief executive Steve Wellbeloved. "With its national portfoli
o of businesses in property, IT and numerous aspects of the motor industry, Greenhous was exactly the sort of business we were keen to link up with. And, of course, there's the added advantage of the Greenhous name being instantly recognisable to many fans because of the company's DAF, LDV, Saab and Vauxhall dealerships across the county.
"It's particularly pleasing to have achieved the sort of high level agreement the Club needs to support its ambitions, but to have done so with a business that also has such strong roots in our home town."
Commenting on the agreement Greenhous joint chief executive Kerry Finnon said the company was delighted to be stepping up its involvement at what is obviously a very exciting time for the Club.
"The timing is also very good for Greenhous as we continue to develop our various businesses both here and nationally. The decision to sponsor STFC reflects not only the strong business case for the investment, but also speaks volumes for where we believe the club is heading on and off the pitch"
