Towns' youth side finish the season with a defeat away to Burnley which sees them finish bottom of the PUMA Youth Alliance table.
It was a decent performance from a young Town side but they couldn't turn that possession and play into goals.
There were decent chances throughout for Town but they just lacked that clinicalness around the Burnley goal.
It was the home side though who took the 3-points thanks to a penalty to send Nigel Vaughan's team home empty handed.
After the game Town's head of youth Nigel Vaughan was pleased with the performance but frustrated with the result: "It was a defeat again and that means we finish bottom of the table this year which is disappointing.
"Once again Saturday's performance was a frustrating one as overall we created more chances than Burnley but we're just not clinical enough and don't gamble in the right areas.
"We gave away a sloppy penalty for their goal after Leon Miles could have done better, when the initial ball came in he was a bit deep and this allowed their player to turn and run at him. Dave Maguire has got a hand to the ball but the pace of it has beaten him.
"We played three 16 year old Welsh lads on Saturday, Wayne Farmer, Will Richards and Gareth Partridge because Brian Flynn was there. He was very pleased with all of them and thought they did really well, hopefully that will put them in with a good chance of next seasons U17s squad.
"The positives were that at the end of the game we have a lot of 16 year olds on the pitch and that is the progression of the team."
